The main window's toolbar contains the following buttons:
The evaluation and assessment buttons toggle the floating windows opened and closed.

This opens a new, empty belief network model document. You may open multiple belief network model documents at the same time. |

This presents a dialog that allows you to locate and open an existing belief network file. |

Diagram Properties |

This presents the Diagram Properties dialog, which configures the appearance and behavior of diagram windows. |

Evaluate |
|
This opens an evaluation window. You may open multiple evaluation windows at the same time. |

Model and Node Properties |
|
This button opens the Properties window, a floating dialog for manipulation of the logical properties of the current model and its nodes (variables). |

Assess (Standard) |
|
This presents presents the standard (table-based) probability assessment dialog. which supports both standard discrete assessment and causally independent assessment. |
|
Assess (Assymmetric) |
|
This opens the asymmetric (tree-based) probability assessment dialog. |
|
Help |
|
Activates the on-line help for MSBNX. |
The Model and Node Properties window, Standard Assessment window and Asymmetric Assessment window are special floating windows whose focus changes based as the currently active model and selected node change. See the topic Floating Windows for more information.
