Color Model Variables

This dialog box sets up information used to color the node (variables) in a model.

Nodes in a diagram may be colored according to any enumerated property type available in the model. The most common example is the "MS_label" property type associated with troubleshooting models. However, you may use or create any enumerated property type (see Model and Node Properties for more information on creating and assigning a property type).

The Enumerated Property Types drop-down list contains the names of the property types that can be used to color the current model. The Enumerated Property Values drop-down list contains all the names that apply to this type. Once you choose a property type and value, you can click on the Choose Color button to pick a color representing that property value.

If you want the model to be colored according to the colors assigned to values of this property type, select the Apply to this Model check box.

The name and color value associated with a property type are stored in the MSBNX configuration on your local machine. This means that once you've established a color assignment it will be available for use in any other model that also declares that property type.
